WE Inc. is a Birmingham-based nonprofit that focuses on helping people with disabilities and other barriers to employment reach their full vocational potential.

“We help you find a job in the community and specialize in finding employment for a longer time fulfillment. We also make sure that we stick with you after the job as well.

We want to make sure we’re not just giving you training and saying ‘Good luck, go find a job.’ We’re going to sit with you, help you do interviews, help you with a resume and continue to advocate for you.”

“We originally had our baking mixes, which is part of what we made on our line assembly but we wanted to be able to take it to the next step and actually make those things here and teach people how to continue to grow.

We see a lot of hospitality jobs that need people all of the time. A lot of those trainings were hard to do just on campus, so we opened the cafe. It’s also a great way for the community to come in here and know about us a little more.”
