Birmingham ‘pop-up’ businesses you need to know—crafts, books + more
Reading time: 3 minutes

Have you ever been to a Birmingham coffee shop or farmers’ market and seen the cutest pop-up table selling local goods? Whether I track them down via social media or stumble upon them by surprise, it’s always fun to scope the local art, clothes and more at these mobile businesses.
Keep an eye out for these crafty sellers on your next stroll around Bham—and shop small!
Enjoyer Books: A twist on the bookmobile

A few weeks ago, I went to a midnight release of ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ hosted by Enjoyer Books, and now I can’t get enough of the local biz.
Founded by husband and wife duo Cliff and Rach, Enjoyer Books is Birmingham’s new “bookstore on a bus” with current best sellers and curated reads.
Until their bus is ready (hopefully this summer!) you can find them at Cala Coffee and local pop-up markets across town.

The Chasm Co.: Crafts on-the-go

Owned by 1/2 of the creatives behind Enjoyer Books, The Chasm Co. quickly made their name known across Birmingham.
At their monthly pop-up craft clubs, you can make your own jewelry, vases and more trinkets to take home. It’s a great way to get creative during quality friend time!
When my best friend and I bought charm bracelets together a few months ago, we started scouring The Chasm Co.’s socials to add new charms to our collection.
Dimples Flowers: Build-your-own-bouquet

Dimples Flowers is one of my favorite surprises to see outside of June Coffee or other local Birmingham spots.
Pick the flowers you want (priced by the stem), wrap them up and voila! A beautiful creation made by you!
The build-a-bouquet concept pairs adorably with the flower shop on wheels. The seasonally selected bouquets are perfect for a gift, a friend or just a lil’ treat for yourself.
Nan Curated: High-end vintage pop-up
No time to scour thrift shops and garage sales for diamonds in the rough? Nan Curated’s McCall Harwell sources the best in high-end, designer and on-trend vintage from around the south.
At the monthly pop-up markets, you can shop leather, denim, hats, shoes and more—or check out the catalog on their site if you can’t wait until their next event.

The Little Red Print Shop: Mystery handmade art

I’m a sucker for handmade art, and when I’ve seen The Little Red Print Shop at local coffee shops, I’ve made a beeline to the vending machine.
Featuring artwork by Jessica Leitch, The Little Red Print Shops is a tiny prints vending machine, but you don’t know which one you’re getting. That’s part of the fun!
You can always find the vending machine at Cala Coffee in Cahaba Heights and Little Professor Bookshop in Pepper Place. Keep up with their social media to see more pop-up locations—but don’t forget your quarters!
