Helen ranks among top steak houses

Helen is the only Alabama restaurant in the competition, hosted by Southern lifestyle magazine Garden & Gun.
Located on 2nd Ave N, Helen is owned and operated by six-time James Beard Award semifinalist Rob McDaniel. This year, McDaniel and his wife Emily also opened Bayonet, a seafood spot and raw bar that has already garnered high praise from locals.

First round: March 18-March 23 at 11:59PM ET
Second round: March 24-March 27 at 11:59PM ET
Third round: March 28-March 31 at 11:59PM ET
Final four: April 1-April 4 at 11:59PM ET
Final: April 5-April 8 at 11:59PM ET
