Brothers Jason and Jamal Brown are moving their successful pop-up catering business, known as 1918 Catering, to a brick-and-mortar location called Venue 197.

From 1918 Catering to Venue 197
Owners and brothers Jason and Jamal Brown grew veggies from their gardens and learned how to cook from a very young age, which blossomed their love of creating food.
They quickly began making sandwiches and burgers from their backyard at their home in Bessemer and decided to grow their business. Thus, 1918 Catering was born, and the name serves as an homage to their home address back in Bessemer and where they came from.
1918 Catering became a sensation—expanding to include pop-ups around Birmingham and a private food truck available for bookings. Now, with the opening of Venue 197—a nod to their new address— people will be able to come in and enjoy catering options now served for lunch.
