Magic City Classic lands “huge” new title sponsor

The  Magic City Classic has landed one of the biggest companies in the world as its title sponsor.

Today, the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) football game in the country announced that it has secured Amazon as its new title sponsor. 

The event is now officially named the Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amazon as the new title sponsor of the Magic City Classic.

This partnership represents a shared commitment to education, diversity and economic growth in our community.

We look forward to working with Amazon to elevate the Classic experience for our fans and the broader HBCU family.”

Representatives from the city of Birmingham, Amazon, Coca-Coca Bottling Company United and Alabama State University and Alabama A&M were present at the announcement.

The 2025 Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola is scheduled for October 25, 2025 at Birmingham’s historic Legion Field. 

King summed up the game and all the activities that surround it best at the news conference.
