The Birmingham Barons announced a new “relief initiative” for country music fans following the postponement of Rock the South.

The festival was originally slated to take place this upcoming weekend, June 11–13, at The Fields at Decatur, but heavy rainfall across Alabama caused organizers to move its dates to October 1–4.

In response, the Barons launched the “We Still Plan To Play” promotion to provide a weekend entertainment option for disappointed festival-goers.

Free admission with festival tickets

Anyone holding a ticket to the postponed Rock the South music festival can redeem it for free general admission to any Barons home game from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14 at Regions Field.

The Barons are hosting a multi-game home series against the Biloxi Shuckers during this period.

Ballpark promotions and entertainment

The Barons confirmed that the stadium grounds crew is actively monitoring weather conditions to ensure the field remains ready for play. The team is integrating elements of the festival experience into the upcoming games to accommodate country music fans.

The weekend lineup at Regions Field includes:

  • Pregame live music performances
  • Country music played over the stadium sound system upon request
  • $2.75 beers during the Thursday night game
  • Friday night fireworks display

Ticket holders can bring their digital or physical Rock the South festival tickets directly to the Regions Field box office to secure general admission entry for the specified dates.
