There are all kinds of new businesses joining the Birmingham community this month.

From a new specialty grocer in Mountain Brook to an exciting upcoming development in West Homewood, here’s what’s happening across the Greater Birmingham Area.

Now Open

1. Mi Tierra Linda | Center Point

Mi Tierra Linda is a new multicultural supermarket bringing groceries and authentic Latin goods to the Center Point community. The store offers a dulcerΓ­a (sweets), bakery, butcher, restaurant, and hot and cold buffet bar.

2. El Barrio + Paramount | West Homewood

In 2023,Β Bham Now learned about new plans for a redevelopmentΒ of the former Econo Lodge site in West Homewood, located near the Oxmoor Road and I-65 interchange. Two popular restaurants from downtown Birminghamβ€”El Barrio and Paramountβ€”will be opening new locations at West Row.

After several months of planning and construction, the restaurants plan to open in early April.

3. Royal Ranch House | Irondale

Irondale is known for its classic meat and three restaurants and it will soon add another to the listβ€”Royal Ranch HouseΒ is currently under construction on Crestwood Boulevard in Irondale.

The restaurant will offer a wide variety of fast food favorites along with a rotating meat and three menu.

4. The Cut @ Steele Hall Brewing | Trussville

Looking to practice your golf swing while enjoying a refreshing beer from a local brewery? 

Trussville’s Steele Hall Brewing recently announced plans to introduce a new golf simulatorβ€”called The Cutβ€”to its customers by early April. According to the announcement, The Cut will be a β€œstate of the art indoor golf simulator bar with an exciting food concept attached.”

5. Parkside Pet Hospital | Liberty Park

Calling all parents of furry friendsβ€”a new pet hospital is coming to Liberty Park!

Located at Marketplace at The Bray, the clinic will do exams, vaccinations and surgery in addition to grooming and nutritional products.

6. Market | Mountain Brook Village

Market, a new gourmet grocery shopping concept, is coming to Mountain Brook Village this week. Founded by ZoΓ«’s Kitchen alum Tyre Stuckey, this new grab-and-go store will offer gourmet meals, chef-inspired seasonal goods and a pantry filled with locally-made staples.

Market will host its grand opening event on Wednesday, February 5β€”follow them on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated.

7. Cobblestone Inn & Suites | Montevallo

Cobblestone Inn and Suites announced this month it is building its 4th location in the state of Alabama. This time on Main Street, only blocks away from the University of Montevallo.

The hotel will be located across from City Hall at the corner of Main Street and Shelby Street.Β
