Birmingham comedian Roy Wood Jr. took the stage at Celebrity Jeopardy! last week.

Playing for Birmingham-based nonprofit I See Me, Inc, Wood Jr. advanced to the next round and continues to make The Magic City proud.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Roy Wood Jr. is a stand-up comic, actor, former Correspondent on The Daily Show and 2023 host of the White House Correspondents Dinner

Wood Jr. is the son of renowned civil rights journalist, Roy Wood Sr., and has referenced Birmingham multiple times, specifically to mention I See Me, Inc.—a local literacy organization. 

Support Birmingham nonprofit “I See Me”

I See Me aims to lead children out of the “School-to-Prison Pipeline” by providing them with literature that promotes cultural and personal reflection.

Wood Jr. gave a shoutout to I See Me on Celebrity Jeopardy!, as well as took to his own social media to encourage followers to check them out.
