Trying to get your best gals together for a girls’ trip can be tough. With everyone’s schedules packed with full-time jobs, peewee soccer schedules, PTA meetings and more, that excited “let’s plan a trip” can turn into an exhausted “who has the time?”.
The good news? We’re making organizing your trip easy!
Read on for what to do during a long weekend getaway with your girls on Alabama’s Beaches and book your stay now.
Night 1: Party at the Flora-Bama
Every good beach trip starts with a party at the Flora-Bama (yes, it’s as good as Kenney Chesney says).
Their Buschwacker is world-famous, but if you want to be fancy, opt for a glass of wine. They have lots to choose from.
Expect some killer music, cold drinks all night and some great bar food, too.

Day 1: Shopping, Water fun + Wine tastings
To settle into your first full day at the Gulf, we suggest starting it off with something fun, like shopping.
Whatever you’re in the market for, you’ll find it at The Wharf. You’ll find dozens of stores ranging from designer to beachwear.
After your shopping adventure, you can head to the shore.
This is a choose-your-own-adventure because you can:
- Book a charter boat and look for dolphins.
- Test your balance by doing paddle board yoga or hop in a kayak and ride the waves.
- Go fishing.
To end your day, sip on some wine while you dine at Crush Wines.
The eateries team expertly curates menus of cheese plates and pizzas that pair perfectly with their wine offerings.
Day 2: Hit the Beach (with a side of spa treatments)
After your busy first day of shopping, boating and snacking, we suggest you spend your second day relaxing.
