Highway 280 restaurant changes: Saltgrass Steak House gone

Saltgrass Steak House on Highway 280 has permanently closed after six years in operation.

The departure of the popular restaurant from Birmingham’s foodie scene leaves the state of Alabama with only one remaining Saltgrass Steak House. That restaurant is located in Hoover at 2943 John Hawkins Parkway near the Galleria.

280 continues to evolve

Highway 280 has experienced several openings and closings up and down the busy commercial corridor in the past few years. For example, a grand opening for the new Academy Sports + Outdoors was held this weekend at the River Ridge Shopping Center. Last week, Talbots at The Summit announced they were closing in late October.
