SNEAK PEEK: Culinary Dropout opens its first Alabama location at The Summit

Culinary Dropout, the highly-anticipated restaurant developed by James Beard-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox, opened today at The Summit.

Bham Now was provided a sneak peek inside the new establishment, which is the first Culinary Dropout in Alabama and the 12th nationwide.

Below are photos of the new restaurant, which is located at 241 Summit Boulevard, Birmingham

The menu is eclectic. Check out this range of delicacies:

  • 36-Hour Slow Roasted Pork Ribs basted in jalapeño BBQ sauce
  • Meatloaf
  • Rainbow Trout
  • Fried Chicken
  • Detroit Pizza
  • Soft Pretzel and Provolone fondue

In addition to the great food, the bar is equipped with TVs and a substantial selection of “Dropout” cocktails and draft beers.

Culinary Dropout will offer daily lunch and dinner service as well as weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday. 

Operating hours are as follows: 

  • Monday through Thursday from 11:00AM to 11:00PM
  • Friday from 11:00AM. to 12:00PM, 
  • Saturday from 10:00AM to 12:PM.
  • Sunday from 10:00AM to 11:00PM
