Talbots, the women’s clothing store is closing its location at The Summit on October 26.
The local Facebook group Friends of HWY 280 broke the news about the store’s closing earlier this week. Bham Now confirmed the information with Talbots corporate office.
On Thursday, October 3rd, the local site 280 Living posted a photo of a sign from Talbots informing customers of the store’s October 26 closure date.
A popular brand, Talbots storefront at The Summit holds a prominent spot on Summit Boulevard near Culinary Dropout and Seasons 52 restaurants.
The Summit continues to evolve
Known for its “first in Alabama” retail stores, The Summit earlier this week confirmed BOSS, the core brand for the global fashion company HUGO BOSS is opening by the end of 2024.
Other stores that have opened at The Summit in 2024 include:
- Mizzen+Main, a clothing store specializing in comfortable menswear
- gorjana, a Southern California-based jewelry brand
- Rowan, a woman-owned and operated piercing shop
- Peter Millar, luxury apparel store
- Carhartt, the durable work apparel store
