So what is Shop Save & Share? Think shopping, deals and an awesome way to help others.

How it works: You purchase a shopping card for just $40, and with it, you get up to 20% off and exclusive offers at over 300 retailers across the Greater Birmingham Area. This includes Homewood, Hoover, Mountain Brook, Mount Laurel, Trussville, Vestavia Hills and others.

100% of profits from the event support the JLB’s mission to create meaningful community impact, including its 24 community projects.

Think your $40 won’t help much? Check this out.

Just one purchase of a Shop Save & Share card helps provide:

  • 240 meals through the Tarrant Mobile Food Pantry in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama
  • Food to feed 50 people for one day through Grace Klein Community
  • A ride to a doctor’s appointment for Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center clients

Over the last 18 years, Shop Save & Share has raised more than $780,000 for the JLB’s mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training.

While many cities have a Junior League, Birmingham’s stands out in numerous ways.

Some include:

  • It’s one of the largest volunteer organizations in Alabama with nearly 2,000 members.
  • Its members serve more than 40,000 volunteer hours annually.
  • It provides over $1M in direct funding to the greater Birmingham community.
  • 2022 marked the organization’s centennial anniversary, commemorating 100 years of service, leadership, partnerships + impact.

“The Shop Save & Share fundraiser is more than just a shopping event.

By purchasing a discount card, you’re not only saving money. You are also supporting local businesses and investing in the future of our community.

Together, we are building a better Birmingham.”

Jessica Hopper, President, Junior League of Birmingham
