Birmingham’s Five Points South mass shooters still at large; here is how you can help (UPDATE)

On Saturday evening, Birmingham was rocked to its core when a mass shooting occurred at the at the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue in front of Hush Lounge.

The heinous event caused the death of four people and injured 17 others. More than 100 shell casings were collected at the scene.

Below is the joint Sunday news conference with the Mayor Randall Woodfin and the Birmingham Police Department (BPD).

As of Monday morning, the shooter(s) remain at-large. The FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting the BPD.

The police have asked local businesses to contact them if they have any camera footage.

They have also set up the following assets so people can report potential evidence or clues on how this happened.

The Mayor and BPD are scheduled to hold a news conference at 9:15AM on Monday. We will update this article with the latest information, including how you can lend help to victims and their families.

The FBI and Crimestoppers are offering rewards totaling up to $100,000 for tips and information leading to the arrest of the person who committed this crime. Information can be anonymous.

Mayor Woodfin: “It is critically important that as a community we come together at this moment… we the community have to step up.”

Twelve of the injured have been released from area hospitals. Five of the shooting victims remain hospitalized.
