New coffee shop opening soon in Homewood [Photos]

Last year, Bham Now reported that a huge development called The Edge would bring new food and retail shops to Homewood.

One of these retail shops is a popular coffee franchise called Baba Java Coffee, which already has two locations in Hoover and Meadowbrook. 

Now, Baba Java Coffee will soon make its debut in Homewood with a grand opening just around the corner.

What will The Edge bring to Homewood?

The Edge Homewood is a new development for a 4-acre site located on Green Springs Highway in Homewood.

This project is set to feature shadowed outdoor space, perfect for picnics, outdoor cafes and family recreation.

Here are some places The Edge plans to have as tenants:

  • Baba Java Coffee
  • Corbeau Wine Bar
  • The Standard
  • Cookie Plug
  • The Que*bicle
  • Shin Ramen Noodles
  • True40 fitness studio

Baba Java Coffee and Popbar will be the first tenants open for business, with Baba Java Coffee opening later this month.

Baba Java Coffee will be combined with Popbar to introduce new coffee flavors and handcrafted gelato all in one place.

Here’s a few items Baba Java Coffee will offer:

  • Honey Habañero Latte
  • Orange Apeel Latte
  • Colaspresso
  • Camel Latte
  • Creamy Apple Cider
  • Popbar popsicles – ask the Barista about available flavors
