REV Birmingham is an economic development non-profit focused on revitalization and making Birmingham a more vibrant place.

Remember when REV Birmingham repaved crosswalks, provided new seating, constructed bike lanes, painted light fixtures, fixed trip hazards and completely replanted 20th St.? Now, with buskers playing music and dancing on the streets, Downtown Birmingham will have a hip new edge.

Pedestrians can expect multiple buskers showcasing their talents and bringing some fun to the downtown area.

“We want to be there for the community and create a high-quality busking culture in Downtown Birmingham. Busking is usually undertaken by the musicians themselves, because most venues and events are seeking more established performers. The Live on 20th event is unique because we are providing a space for Buskers to perform and interact without having to do it all on their own.”

– Jamie Haas, REV Birmingham Communications Manager

Live on 20th will continue to entertain the public throughout the seasonal months. If you are interested in applying as a busker, check out this additional info.

Those who attend Live on 20th this month are also in for another treat – literally!

Each performer will be accompanied by a dessert vendor. Whether you are there for the music or sweets, you don’t want to miss this unique experience.

“Nothing is better than sweet tunes and sweet treats on 20th St. It is a positive experience and a vibrant place to be.”
