In 2021,  Hoover Institution released a report she helped advise that identified our state’s natural beauty as one of our greatest assets. 

As a result of the report, economic and health leaders across the state are advocating for a dynamic trail system

Building on our first installment, which highlighted the trail renaissance Alabama is experiencing, in this story, we talked to TC McLemore, Executive Director of Outdoor Recreation Programs at Innovate Alabama and Dr. David Hicks, the Health Officer for the Jefferson County Department of Health about why trails matter.
