In a relatively short time, Isaac has become a climbing machine, hitting the walls at High Point like it’s his second home. He’s at the climbing gym four to five times a week, spending a solid three to four hours each time.

“I’ve been hitting the climbing scene for just over a year now.

Before that, sports weren’t my thing because competition always had me on edge. But climbing was relaxing and fun.

Plus, I was big into calisthenics and bodyweight workouts, so I figured, why not try climbing?

I started hitting up High Point practically every day and seeing improvements made me want to keep at it!”

Stepping into a new climbing gym can feel like entering a whole new world, but at High Point, it’s all good vibes and support.

The staff and fellow climbers are like one big family, ready to help you kickstart your climbing adventure.

When we rolled in with Isaac, the staff was pumped to see him and friends were hyping him up for an awesome climb.

“Bouldering is my favorite type of climbing because it helps me build strength. I rarely do other types of climbing unless my friends can convince me.”

Isaac’s all about spreading the climbing love. According to him, everyone should give it a shot at least once.

He also says that no one should ever feel out of place because the climbing community is very diverse.

“I would tell someone interested in climbing about the benefits first. For example, they will develop great upper body strength and they have the opportunity to build friendships.

I would also mention there is a lot of technique involved and it is not all strength, which I think is a misconception about climbing.
