Spring Brew Coffee Company owner Cody Robinson is looking for a new owner for his coffee shop, located at The Florentine.

Why is Spring Brew Coffee Company leaving Birmingham?

Based in Cave Spring, Georgia, Spring Brew Coffee Company is a coffee brand founded in 2017 by entrepreneur Cody Robinson. With a focus on freshly roasted coffee and pure local spring water, Spring Brew Coffee was a quick hit in Cave Spring.

In June 2023, Spring Brew Coffee Company opened its first out-of-state location in The Magic City. Located on the floor level of The Florentine, Spring Brew’s Birmingham shop offers a wide variety of coffee, tea, frappes, espresso and more.

However, after nearly a year in Birmingham, Cody Robinson is looking to hand off the Spring Brew Coffee Company location to a new owner.

“Business at Spring Brew in Birmingham has been great, but I’m looking to hand it off to a new owner so I can focus on my other ventures. I am a realtor with LAH Sotheby’s International Realty and I own a fitness company called HOMEFIT, both of which are consuming a lot of my time.

With spring/summer being a strong time for business I thought it would be a great time to list the shop.”

“We’ve had a mobile espresso bar at our location in Georgia for years, so there is a chance we may establish a similar mobile concept in Birmingham in the near future.”

“We’ll be keeping the Spring Brew Coffee Company name, so the new owner will have their own brand. Other than that, this is a turnkey sale. We’re selling all of the assets—all the equipment, all the furniture and all of the inventory will go to the next owner.”

What exactly is Cody looking for in the coffee shop’s next owner?

“I’m excited to handoff and train the next owner to make sure that it is a smooth transition. To me, the biggest thing I’m looking for in the next owner is that they have a passion for Birmingham. I hope the next owner will continue to support the community and be a staple for downtown Birmingham.”
