In October 2023, Sadie’s Diner—a new meat-and-three on the outskirts of Tuscaloosa—opened to such an impressive turnout that it was forced to temporarily close to hire and train additional staff.

Now, Sadie’s Diner is back open—so Bham Now visited the meat-and-three in Vance, AL to see why it is so popular.

About Sadie’s Diner

Last Fall, Mississippi-based convenience store and gas station brand Sprint Mart opened a 16,000-square-foot location in Vance, Alabama with an attached new meat-and-three. Dubbed Sadie’s Diner, the new neighborhood restaurant was described as, “Where warmth meets home-style delights.”

On its opening day, Sadie’s Diner saw a massive outpouring of support from the local community.

In response to the overwhelming turnout, Sadie’s Diner temporarily closed to hire additional staff, stating on their Facebook page:

“The quick support for our new business from Vance and the surrounding community has been incredible. Sprint Mart takes great pride in providing world-class service, so in order to accommodate the overwhelming support, Sadie’s will be temporarily closed while we hire more staff and make adjustments to better serve the Vance community.

In the meantime, Sprint Mart will remain open 24/7/365, and hot prepared food will still be available on that side of the store. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon, delivering the service you deserve! Thank you for your support!”

With a team bolstered by new staff, Sadie’s Diner officially reopened in early November.

Inside Sadie’s Diner, guests can expect a friendly team of smiling faces ready to bring out your choice of delicious home-style meals. Open 5AM to 9PM daily, Sadie’s Diner has a variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
