If you’ve tried to hire in Birmingham or anywhere in Alabama recently, you know how challenging it can be. You might have heard, “I can’t find enough people to hire,” “I can’t find the right talent,” or “I’ve had to pull back on my business due to the labor shortage.”

Times have changed and the way to attract the best talent has changed, too.

In an upcoming conference, Bham Now will share proven ways to finding the best talent in today’s new digital media world.

Get ready to be informed and inspired at the upcoming 2024 Alabama Summit on Talent Retention and Work-Based Learning, April 8-10. Hurry, tickets are almost gone!

Speaking from experience

Founded in 2016, Bham Now is a local digital media company with the mission to create a smarter, happier, healthier Birmingham community for everyone. Bham Now is about positive news—from local startups, new openings, local events and everything in-between.

One of the key ways that Bham Now—as well as its sister brands, Hville Blast and The Bama Buzz—supports local businesses is by helping to brand them as top employment choices, especially for tech-savvy young professionals.

During the upcoming Alabama Summit on Talent Retention and Work-Based Learning, you will learn from pros across the state. Best practices on recruitment and retention will be shared and discussed.

Bham Now will be on hand to share the latest media trends for job seekers as well as real case studies that have worked for local employers. Here’s who’s up:

  • Cindy Martin, Founder and CEO, with 27 years of leading digital media companies.
  • Gabi Hembree-Lee, Business Development Manager, with experience supporting hundreds of organizations state-wide.
  • Trey Huie, Account Executive, with experience supporting some of the largest local firms.
