DC BLOX has completed the expansion of its Birmingham, Alabama data center.

A premier provider of secure and reliable data centers and fiber network solutions throughout the Southeast, the DC BLOX expansion includes a new data hall design, tailored to meet the burgeoning demand for High-Performance Compute (HPC) applications.

DC BLOX: Calling Birmingham home since 2019

DC BLOX opened the Birmingham data center back in 2019 at the site of the old Trinity Steel site in the Titusville neighborhood. The footprint of the campus encompasses: 

  • 13,000 square feet of office space 
  • 18,000 square feet of data center space

The new data hall houses up to 240 standard retail cabinets and 36 HPC-capable cabinets, each supporting up to 35kW of power.

In addition to the DC BLOX Birmingham data center, the company has facilities in Atlanta, GA, Huntsville, AL, Chattanooga, TN, Greenville, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC. There are several more centers in development.
