Complete a full-body workout in just 7 minutes in Birmingham
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, in collaboration with NFC, is doing something cool. They’re designing fitness courts to provide free access to top-tier workouts to ensure equitable exercise opportunities for communities throughout the state.
Each fitness court features an outdoor gym that lets people use their body weight to get a complete workout by using seven exercise stations. They include:
- Agility
- Bend
- Core
- Lunge
- Pull
- Push
- Squat
Designed for people of all abilities ages 14+, each workout court is adaptable to all fitness levels to allow participants to exercise at their own pace. Plus—the free courts offer an inexpensive and holistic alternative to traditional gym memberships.
BONUS: Users can access the free Fitness Court App, which provides a helpful “coach-in-your-pocket” to enhance their outdoor gym experience.
