Reading time: 2 minutes
There’s a new supermarket set to open in Center Point later this year. Mi Tierra Linda will specialize in food from Central and South America, reports The Trussville Tribune.
Multicultural supermarket in the works
Located at the newly renovated Center Point Plaza, the nearly 23,000 sq. ft. store will carry a wide variety of ethnic cuisine. According to The Trussville Tribune, the store received a $10,000 business grant from the city.
One of Mi Tierra Linda’s business partners, Claudia Rodriguez, told The Tribune:
“We want to get people together so they can know more about our culture and about our food. We’re going to have two buffet tables, a hot and a cold buffet table. We’re going to have tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and typical food from our country.”
Claudia Rodriguez, co-owner of Mi Tierra Linda in The Trussville Tribune
According to Rodriguez, here are some of the things you can expect at Mi Tierra Linda:
- Bakery
- Tortilleria
- Restaurant
- Hot + cold buffet food
