Churro Station at The Summit celebrating grand opening January 27
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re not going to want to miss out on The Summit’s newest dessert spot. Located in the former home of Steel City Pops, Churro Station will be celebrating its grand opening this Saturday, January 27.
Churro Station’s first brick-and-mortar location
In 2019, owners Jazmine and Aaron moved from Mexico to Birmingham for work. They fell in love with the city, but there was one thing from home they missed the most—churros. This led them to start making and selling their family’s beloved churro recipe, with the addition of fillings, toppings and more.
After years of selling their tasty treats at pop-up markets around town, the couple is finally opening their first brick-and-mortar location at The Summit. Soon, you’ll be able to get a fresh churro anytime a sugar craving hits.
Toppings, fillings, ice cream + more
Churro Station’s menu is filled with all kinds of ingredients to customize your churro however you like it. Here’s a peek at the menu:
- Fillings: Nutella, dulce de leche, peanut butter, condensed milk, strawberry, Bavarian cream
- Toppings: Crushed Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, bacon, hot Cheetos, rainbow sprinkles, diced fruit, chocolate chips, marshmallows
- Ice cream: Zanzibar chocolate, salted caramel, old fashioned vanilla, cappuccino break, mint avalanche, strawberry
In addition to classic cinnamon sugar churros, they also offer the “nachurro”, a savory churro filled with cheddar cheese.
As any good churro aficionado will tell you, churros are best enjoyed with a cup of coffee. Get your caffeine fix with any of Churro Station’s crafted espresso drinks.
Grand opening this Saturday, January 27
Churro Station is now open 4-9PM for a soft opening, and will celebrate the official grand opening Saturday, January 27 at 3PM.
