Reading time: 2 minutes
The Argosy Foundation is hosting Comedy for Peace—an event bringing together Muslim, Jewish and Christian comedians—and it’s happening right here in Birmingham. And, good news, we’re all invited! Keep reading for the details of this show on Wednesday, January 24.
The Argosy Foundation
The Argosy Foundation takes approaches that help people to help themselves. In doing this, they build teams and communities through programs, philanthropic events and creative learning methods.
What better creative learning method is there than a comedy show?
In a release from The Argosy Foundation, Comedy for Peace was created to bring together four comedians to find common ground while celebrating different religions, ethnicities and worldviews. Here’s who you can expect on stage:
- Ashley Austin Morris
- Erik Angel
- Gibran Saleem
- Tehran Von Ghasri
The topic of social justice efforts reigns relevant throughout cultures today, and Comedy for Peace seeks to make the world more tolerant, “one giggle at a time.”
A Q&A session with the comedians will follow the show to encourage discussion among audience members.
