Lionel Richie + Earth, Wind & Fire coming to Birmingham in May

Alabama native Lionel Ritchie is returning to Birmingham for the first time since his performance at the 2022 World Games.

Today, Live Nation Entertainment announced an extension of Lionel Richie’s Sing A Song All Night Long tour with special guests and fellow Rock and Rock Hall of Famers Earth, Wind and Fire.

Richie, who was recently inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has sold 125 million albums worldwide. He is currently serving as a judge on ABC’s American Idol.

A proud Alabamian who grew up in the town of Tuskegee and attended Tuskegee University, Richie dedicated a new greenspace near his alma mater called “Hello Park” last fall. Along with the dedication, he was presented with a key to the city.

The tour is scheduled to perform at Legacy Arena on Tuesday,  May 28th. Tickets will be available starting with artist presales beginning Wednesday, January 17 at 10 AM local time. The general sale will begin Friday, January 19 at 10 AM local time at ticketmaster.com.
