Additions to Avondale Brewing approved
During the December 13 meeting of the Birmingham DRC, Avondale Brewing finally secured approval of several enhancements to their brewery campus in Avondale.
According to Bruce Lanier—a Partner at ArchitectureWorks, the architecture firm hired by Avondale Brewing—the enhancements to Avondale Brewing include:
- An elevated viewing platform, to serve as a premium ticketing option for concerts and events at the venue
- An elevator to the second floor of the addition, to make it accessible by all guests
- Installing a mesh screen and a sound barrier
“This is the second part of several venue enhancements we have been working on for Avondale Brewing Company. Essentially, the addition will be a two-story elevated viewing platform, with an elevator, that can serve as a premium ticketed space for the venue.”
Bruce Lanier, Partner, ArchitectureWorks
The new additions to Avondale Brewing will be wrapped in wood and steel material that complements the existing material throughout the brewery’s campus.
In order to make these enhancements, Avondale Brewing will remove the existing exterior bar, the bathroom entry canopy and brewing equipment.
