Crafters, rejoice! Michaels Arts and Crafts in Alabaster’s Propst Promenade Shopping Center is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday, December 2 from 9AM-2PM. From crafts to free gift wrapping, here’s what to expect when you visit.
Michaels’ opening celebration activities
Though Michaels in Alabaster opened its doors in November, the time has come for the store’s grand opening celebration—and it’s going to be a good one.
With holiday crafting, gift shopping and seasonal home decorating in full swing, there’s no better time to visit the popular craft store.
During the grand opening event on Saturday, December 2, there will be all sorts of extra fun to enjoy, too.
According to the Shelby County Reporter, these activities have been confirmed:
- Bracelet-making table
- Face painting
- Photos with Santa
- Popcorn machine
There will also be free gift wrapping!

- Monday + Saturday, 9AM-10PM
- Tuesday-Friday, 9AM-9PM
