“This is the Squawking Goat from Maple Street Biscuit Company. It’s a biscuit with fried chicken, goat cheese and pepper jelly. It’s my go-to there because I love goat cheese and the jelly and chicken go together really well. It’s also super filling because of everything it comes with!”

BBQ Ribeye Potato Baker from Al’s

“The bbq ribeye potato baker from Al’s gave me enough food to last two days of lunch and then some! I hadn’t eaten there since I was a student at UAB, but I never forgot how smoky, salty, gooey and delicious their bakers are. This was my first time getting the ribeye and it was so tender and full of flavor!”

Gabi Hembree-Lee, Business Development Manager

“These tasty morsels from The Heavenly Donut Co. were as delicious as they were cute and fun to share. My personal favorite with Chewbacca.”

“I ate A-Train’s famous Philly Cheesesteak and a brand-new item that is appearing on their menu on Tuesday, December 5th: Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes. What’s in it? A fried green tomato, shredded chicken, sautéed onions and peppers, cheese and A-Train’s secret sauce.

I shared the Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes at the Bham Now office—they disappeared! Everyone loved them.”

Pat Byington, Content Director

7. Korean Cauliflower + Vegetable Bowl from EastWest

“Finding creative vegetarian and vegan dishes can be tricky, but I was super excited to discover this combo from EastWest. The Korean Cauliflower was perfectly light and crispy, and the sauce had so much flavor without weighing it down. Then, the Vegetable Bowl was my favorite style—lots of different, creative elements to choose from for each bite. My favorite parts were the blistered shishitos and sauce!”
