Good news, Edgewood folks. Last year, we let you in on the exciting news of a second Otey’s Tavern location coming to your neck of the woods and now, it’s finally here. Read on for more deets.

Soft opening phase

In July 2022, Red Rock Realty Group announced that Otey’s Tavern and Frothy Monkey would be heading up the redevelopment of Edgewood’s main street. The two new businesses will occupy the building on the west side of the strip with Otey’s taking the corner.

Red Rock Realty shared on Facebook last week that Otey’s Tavern opening was just around the corner.

Otey’s officially opened for business yesterday, August 14 and while they’re still trying to get all their ducks in a row during this soft opening time, they’re eager to welcome customers to their new Edgewood home.

An iconic establishment since 1989

For over 20 years, this beloved establishment has served the Birmingham community with good food and great fellowship.

To make this good news even better, now you have two locations to enjoy your favorite Otey’s fare—the new Edgewood location and the original Otey’s in Crestline Village—just in time for football season.

“We thought long and hard about this—Otey’s has been such a cornerstone of the Mountain Brook and Crestline community for over thirty years. But this opportunity was just too good to pass up.

We love the Edgewood neighborhood, and the two areas are so similar, that this was just the perfect fit. We couldn’t be more excited.”

Will Haver, owner, Otey’s Tavern

Otey’s Tavern in Edgewood will maintain the original iconic menu with all your favorite appetizers, cocktails + more. You know, the classic sports bar and grill munchies that we all love.
