The 600 luxury apartments are now available in Birmingham’s former AT&T City Center

New luxury apartments are almost ready for move-in in downtown Birmingham! The 600—a new apartment community in the former AT&T City Center building—is bringing more than 400 apartment units and upscale amenities to a one-of-a-kind location in the heart of The Magic City. About The 600

In late 2020, Bham Now reported that the former AT&T City Center was to be redeveloped into a luxury apartment tower known as The 600. The tower was completed in 1972 and served as the headquarters for a telecommunication company that eventually merged into the current AT&T company in 2006. After AT&T moved their offices out of the tower in 2018, a joint venture of Varden Capital Properties and Tellus Partners purchased the property to redevelop as luxury apartments.

Despite delays stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, the renovation of the building from office space to residential is nearly complete.

With approximately 700,000 square feet of space, The 600 includes more than 400 one, two and three bedroom apartments available for rent. Each apartment unit includes high-end features, including:
