A familiar Cullman financial institution has a new home.
AmFirst celebrated the grand reopening of its Cullman Branch on Sept. 10, marking the completion of a full rebuild at 300 4th Ave SW.
Serving Cullman since 1979
The branch originally opened at the location in 1979. Construction on the new facility began in 2025, with the Cullman team continuing to serve members from a temporary branch on the property throughout the project.
The reopening celebration brought together AmFirst employees and leadership, members of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce, school board representatives and other community leaders.
“AmFirst made a decision in 1979 to be part of the Cullman community. To see the exponential growth we’ve experienced and to be part of the downtown renovation here in Cullman means so much to who we are as a community-chartered credit union and to who we want to be for our members.”
Kevin Morris, AmFirst President and CEO
The new branch comes as Cullman continues investing in downtown revitalization:
“When you create a district or an area, people want to invest money and make it better. [AmFirst] was just a little ahead of the curve, and we really appreciate that.”
Woody Jacobs, Mayor of Cullman
AmFirst is also involved in the broader Cullman community through its membership in the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and support of local events including Second Fridays and the Cullman Christkindlmarkt.
The newly rebuilt branch is now open at 300 4th Ave SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
