Anyone who was raised with a major online presence (I’m lookin’ at everyone on Tumblr in the 2010s) is well aware of Lana Del Rey’s dreamy music and vast influence on pop culture over the past decade.
Lana’s music—and in turn, her persona—incorporates elements of nostalgia, drawing from classic Americana roots and old Hollywood era aesthetics. Her soft, often sultry tracks have led her to only grow in notoriety over the years, including six Grammy nominations and countless awards and accolades for her work.
Her recent collaboration with pop superstar Taylor Swift, “Snow on the Beach”, has further shot her into the spotlight, becoming Del Rey’s highest charting song on the all genre Billboard Hot 100 to date.
Swift even released a second version of the song following a fan frenzy requesting more of Lana’s voice on the track. Recently, almost a decade after it was written and partly due to its smash success as a TikTok audio, Lana released “Say Yes To Heaven”, which has amassed over 118 million streams on Spotify alone.

On July 17, a TikTok went viral of Lana with a fan at a Birmingham, Alabama based nail salon. From social media, it seems that she also shopped at The Summit and grabbed a drink at a Starbucks in The Magic City.
Now, it seems that Lana has made it about 2 hours away to Florence. Fans have been excitedly posting about her strolling the streets of downtown Florence at around 9PM last night.
Following the release of her 9th studio album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, many fans from Alabama (including me) were excited to hear the artist name drop Florence, Alabama on the airy track “Paris, Texas.”

Florence has received more than a few shoutouts lately as a quaint and picturesque small town. While she is making scattered appearances at music festivals for the remainder of the year, she is not currently on tour. We can only assume she’s there visiting her friends and family.
