SNEAK PEEK: A&D’s Wings and Things opens in Elysian Gardens

Elysian Gardens‘ newest addition A&D’s Wings and Things opened on June 27 and Bham Now went to check it out.

We talked to the owner of A&D’s Wings and Things about her eagerness to bring her business to Elysian Gardens. Keep reading for more info on this hot new spot near Avondale and why you should visit.

Meet the owners

Bham Now last talked to Andrea Parker when she introduced the world to Ensley Social, which aims to address community needs and engage the entire city of Birmingham through:

• An amphitheater
• A garden that opens up to green space
• A large bar area
• A living space with townhomes + condos

Along with her work in Ensley, Andrea is now diving head-first into the development of A&D’s Wings and Things.

Andrea and her business partner Demetrius Hampton are excited about bringing A&D’s Wings and Things to the atmosphere of Elysian Gardens. With concerts, various events and a full bar, all you need to make the energy more welcoming is some soul food.

The move to Elysian Gardens

Andrea raved about the location and her excitement to bring her business to the eclectic energy over at Elysian Gardens.

“Robert Emerick with REV Birmingham mentioned Elysian to me and I when I came over, I instantly fell in love with it. I felt like it’d be a great opportunity for me to bring a concept that’s near and dear to my heart and create some magic.”

What to expect

On the menu:

• Fried green tomatoes
• Fried okra
• Fried & grilled chicken salads
• Wings, wings + more wings

In the following weeks, A&D’s will have their grand opening and release the full menu. Here’s an inside scoop: you can expect more chicken.
