4. Dauphin Street

While you’re downtown, you have to take a stroll along historic Dauphin Street. This colorful street is surrounded by quaint, local art galleries, shops, restaurants and bars. If you’re there in the evening or on the weekend, there’s a big chance you’ll see open-air markets, live music, walking tours or festivals. Since 1963, the Mobile Museum of Art has evolved into the only accredited art museum in South Alabama, with a collection of over 6,400 works of art.
