Gardendale opens new floral shop and announces Chipotle construction

The city of Gardendale welcomed two new businesses to town this week—a hometown florist and popular fast casual Mexican restaurant.

Valentines Day Treat

Just in time for Valentines Day, the community held a grand opening on Tuesday for the Gardendale Floral Company. Formerly the Adamsville Floral Company, the new location is on Highway 31 at 528 Decatur Hwy 35071

On social media, the owners of Gardendale Floral Company thanked the community for the warm welcome.

“A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who took the time to support my shop at the ribbon cutting on Tuesday. We are off to an amazing start because of you.I am so happy to be in such a welcoming community and look forward to serving all your floral needs” ❤️❤️

Chipotle Coming Late Summer 2023

In addition to the new Floral shop, Gardendale Mayor Stan Hogeland announced on his social media the construction of a new Chipotle restaurant at Magnolia City Place.

According to the Mayor Hogeland, construction has already begun and they are projected to open this summer.

Gardendale is Booming

The mayor also released a list of businesses in 2023 that are scheduled to start construction and open. Here are the projects:

  • Dunkin’ Donuts
  • Chicken Salad Chick
  • Jersey Mikes
  • Taco Mama
  • Sonic
  • Santos Coffee

  • Tru Hilton Hotel 

More good news. He confirmed there are more projects in the pipeline, including additional retail.

Also later this spring, the city will open the newly renovated Bill Noble Park.
