Dupont’s final restaurant

Originally from New Orleans, Chris Dupont is heading back to his roots.

Over the last 30 years in Alabama, Dupont has made a huge impact on the culinary scene and been a pioneer in the farm-to-table style in The Magic City. According to the report, Étoile will focus on the same cornerstone approach he’s used throughout his career.

“The ingredients write the menu. I have to spend time becoming familiar with the folks who have their hands in the ground,” he said. “I try not to pinpoint a style. I focus on technique.”
