Over the past month, local artist Java Lewis—also known as Mr. Painterman—has been busy decorating the windows and doors of businesses throughout the Birmingham area with cheerful holiday paintings. Keep reading to learn more about Java Lewis and where you can find his window paintings in The Magic City!
About Java Lewis, “Mr. Painterman”
Born and raised in the Birmingham area, Java discovered painting as his passion in high school. After spending time in different big cities across the country, Java moved back to The Magic City in the early 2000’s and eventually published a book of his works entitled Mr. Painterman.
During the holiday season, Java helps bring joy to the city by painting colorful renditions of familiar holiday scenes & characters on the windows and doors of establishments throughout the city.
