Little Professor at Pepper Place is no longer a “pop-up.”

Just before Thanksgiving the independent bookstore opened its second brick and mortar space permanently at 2807 2nd Avenue S., next to Billy Reid and Lefthand Soap Co.

The store is now open 7 days a week from 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

Tall Ceilings and Spacious

The new location is much different than the cozy downtown Homewood space.

“You don’t even realize how massive the space (Pepper Place) is,  the tall ceilings,  exposed brick, it’s open and inviting,” Beth Seeley, Little Professor’s General Manager told Bham Now. “Pepper Place brings a cool factor. It’s really fun.”

Things to look for at the new Pepper Place site:

  • Fresh brewed coffee  by Birmingham based June Coffee
  • A beautifully displayed tall wall of fiction books
  • Best sellers section up front at the entrance
  • Fun kids section
  • Tables and chairs for customers to relax, read and meet friends

“I’ve only been working with Little Professor for a few months now and was definitely a customer before that,” added Seeley. “I know what it meant for me as a customer to walk in these stores — and to now work here. Our customers are important. Our community is important. They are very loyal to us. I’m so excited we’re able to spread what we have (special relationship) to other parts of Birmingham.”

Upcoming Events at the new Little Professor at Pepper Place
