1. Det 012 Iron Warrior 5k
Support the Air Force ROTC Detachment 012, based out of Samford University, by participating in their 5K. Proceeds from this race go to the Aerospace Booster Club of Detachment 012, which allows cadets to participate in training exercises off-campus.

2. Helena Police Department 2022 Veteran’s Honor Ruck
Come on out to Helena high school and thank a veteran in person for their service. In honor of all of our armed forces veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country, walk approximately four miles on the Hillsboro Trail with friends or family.

3. Mountain Brook FOP 5K Pig Run and 1 Mile Fun Run

The run starts at Crestline Elementary School and then the route goes through Crestline Village and back to the school. Running is easy when you have the views of Crestline Village all-around to look at. Dogs are welcome.

4. The Beer Run 5K Run/Walk
Support the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Alabaster in this family-friendly 5K. After the race, join the post-race after party at Siluria Brewing with one complimentary beverage to celebrate your hard work.

6. Legacy Run in the Park benefiting the Amanda Pair Foundation
Enjoy the chance to join an inaugural event: The The Legacy Run in the Park presented by Alabama Oncology. The mission of the foundation is to overcome cancer by caring for families, funding research and investing in the next generation.

7. Magic City Half Marathon & 5K
Birmingham, don’t miss out on the the second largest half marathon event in Alabama. The Magic City half marathon is the state’s most iconic fall running event. Spectators, make sure to come downtown to cheer on the racers behind home plate at Regions Field.

8. The Sam Lapidus Montclair Run
Get ready for the 46th annual Sam Lapidus Montclair Run. The multiple races offered have become a Thanksgiving tradition for many families and out-of-town visitors. This is one of the most popular turkey trots in Birmingham every year. The Sam Lapidus Montclair Run started in 1976 as the Montclair Run and has grown to now hosting approximately 1500 runners of all ages.

9. Turkey Trot At The Junction
Come support 5K At The Junction’s first turkey trot in Birmingham. However, don’t be fooled, Turkey Trot At The Junction is not their first 5K. This specific turkey trot’s course is the same as the 5K At The Junction’s course and many participants have obtained a personal record by running this route. This nonprofit works hard to raise awareness and funds to benefit and give back to their community. Don’t forget to add Turkey Trot At The Junction to your list of turkey trots in Birmingham.

10. Turkey Trot for Hunger
Come on out to the fourth annual “Turkey Trot for Hunger” 5K Run to help raise funds for St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church’s beans and rice food pantry, serving hungry families in the Chelsea community.
