Kellypalooza is more than just music
For the past three years, Kellypalooza has supported the Coosa Riverkeeper, a nonprofit that works to keep the Coosa River safe + clean.
“Kellypalooza is our biggest fundraising event of the year and what makes it so special is that the river runs through the back of the farm where the event is held.
The proceeds go directly into our program that creates nutrient moderators to test for harmful algae. Recently, the Coosa River was nominated as the fifth most endangered river in America. This is largely due to chronic nutrient pollution. Think of it like you drank too much sweet tea and got a bellyache, the river is undergoing a massive bellyache.”
Abby Brown, Outreach Manager, Coosa Riverkeeper
