1. Tacos El Guero | Highway 280

Located on Highway 280, Tacos El Guero serves up tasty combinations in their food truck. They serve tacos, gringas, burritos, nachos, tostadas de ceviche, quesadillas, tortas, ricos esquites and more for you to get your taco fix.

Plus, they offer outdoor seating and curbside pickup as the weather cools down.

2. Taqueria La Juanita | Leeds

Taqueria La Juanita is one of Leeds’ staples. From delicious combos to elotes to Mexican omelettes, they can do it all. They’re known for friendly service, fresh foods and bold flavors.

3. Taqueria La Herradura | North Birmingham

Taqueria La Herradura is North Birmingham’s beloved taqueria, where the burritos are huge and the staff is friendly. This hole-in-the-wall can be found in the Birmingham Farmers Market off of Finley Ave. Many customers state they haven’t taken photos of their food, simply because they ate it too quickly. Phone does not eat first around here!

They also serve special offerings like Menudo and Chilaquiles during the weekends. If nothing else, make a trip to try those.

4. Taco Morro Loco

This Avondale staple is known for flavor-packed menu offerings and a wide variety. Customers recommend the fresh salsa, yummy nachos and generous size of their tacos. They also have a food truck that you’ll see putting around town. After a night out in Avondale, this hits the spot.

My personal fave: the fish tacos. The fish was fresh and the double tortillas taste handmade.

5. Taqueria Los Primos | Hoover
