2. You’ll help Fiesta provide valuable scholarships
Since its inception, Fiesta has made it their goal to provide Hispanic students with scholarships to help them further their education in Alabama. In the last 19 years, Fiesta has awarded more than $90,000 in scholarships to deserving Hispanic students.
“As someone who received academic scholarships while I was in college, it’s important for me to make sure other Latino students are aware of these scholarship opportunities through Fiesta. I am always touched by the stories these students share with us and how much these scholarship awards mean to them and their families.”
Dulce Rivera, Co-President, Fiesta Bham 2022
For their 20th celebration, Fiesta is awarding $20,000 in scholarships to Hispanic students in Alabama communities. New this year is a $3,000 scholarship, set to be awarded to a Latina student studying in the culinary, hospitality or restaurant management fields, thanks to the Birmingham Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International.
At Fiesta, you can watch the scholarship awards on the Coca-Cola Bottling Main Stage. Donations to the Fiesta BHAM Scholarship Fund are encouraged at the event.
