Birmingham’s very own semi-pro soccer team, FC Birmingham, kicks off their third season this weekend. Keep reading to learn more about the team and how you can catch the games.
FC Birmingham (FCB) was founded in 2020 as an organization to showcase the amazing talent we have here in the Birmingham area on a national stage. The organization, now entering its third season, gives local players an opportunity to be developed into professional athletes and live their dreams.

FC Birmingham’s home opener is this weekend against the Seas Jamaica All Stars. Here are the deets:

Looking forward to the season
According to the organization’s owner, Doug Walk, the team is ready for the season and excited to get started.
“We worked so hard in the off-season to get everything ready. There is so much work that goes into preparing everything, from our GM to the coaches to the players themselves. So to finally get to play at home in front of our fans is so exciting for us. The team is led by former professional soccer player Head Coach Carlos Mercado.

FC Birmingham’s semi-pro team plays in the United States Premier Soccer League (USPL) premier division, but the organization is also a full-service soccer club with a youth program for ages 5-18, a men’s team for 18-23 year olds that competes in UPSL division 1, as well as a Women’s Semi Pro team.
