Don those stars and stripes for an All-American red, white and blue weekend during the 2nd Annual Orange Beach Freedom Fest at The Wharf in Orange Beach. 

Here’s a peek at what’s in store during this unforgettable three-day festival:

While you can expect music throughout the event, be sure to attend the benefit concert on Sunday, October 2. Headlined by John Rich of Big & Rich, proceeds from the concert help provide families of fallen and disabled service members with educational scholarships.

2. The 49th Annual National Shrimp Festival | October 6-9

Festival fun and all the shrimp you can eat? Hurry and pack those bags for The 49th Annual Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, October 6-9.

Attracting over 300,000 people each year, this four-day festival features:

  • 100+ hours of musical entertainment featuring a lineup of national, regional and local acts. 
  • Nearly 200 booths showcasing fine arts and crafts vendors.
  • 50 local and regional vendors offering mouthwatering eats.

3. 38th Annual Frank Brown International Songwriter’s Festival | November 3-13

Love music and the stories behind your favorite songs? This is the festival for you, my friend. With over 200 Grammy Award-winning songwriters and up-and-coming stars from around the world, you’ll not only hear great music, but discover the stories behind the songs as told by their original authors.

4. Bama-Q: Grilling on the Gulf Steak Cookout | November 4-5

Have you heard of Bama-Q? It’s a popular tv show that follows food sports competitions as cooks face off to win top prize of $10,000.

This November, the competition takes place beachside at one of Gulf Shores’ top restaurants—The Hangout.

When you attend this event, you’ll not only watch as grill masters and cocktail aficionados go head to head to create the tastiest steaks, fish filets and Bloody Marys, but you’ll also learn how to improve your own grilling techniques and recipes at home.

5. Holly Days on Main | December 10-11
