Art lovers, get ready—Birmingham Artwalk is back September 9-10 and you won’t want to miss it. This beloved festival transforms Downtown Birmingham into a stunning arts district with more than 80+ visual artists, live music, food, drinks and more. Can you believe it? This year marks the 20th anniversary of Birmingham Artwalk, one of the most anticipated and beloved fall events in The Magic City. Artwalk is a FREE two-day arts festival that uplifts our city and showcases established and emerging regional artists.

2. You’ll get to explore the newly renovated Birmingham Green

Celebrating 20 years isn’t the only thing that makes this year’s festival unique. Birmingham Artwalk will be the very first festival to take place on the newly renovated Birmingham Green along 20th Street North.

Take a stroll along the lush and beautifully revitalized 20th Street North, with flexible cafe-style public seating, sidewalk and crosswalk improvements. The best part? The public art on display.

From stunning historic architecture to your favorite retail shops, restaurants and bars, you don’t want to miss your chance to bask in all that Birmingham has to offer.

3. You’ll support talented local + regional artists

Artwalk proudly hosts both established and emerging regional artists in the unique and architecturally rich setting of Downtown Birmingham. Whether you’re looking to splurge on an extravagant art piece or support local artists on a budget, there’s something at Artwalk waiting just for you.

From drawings and paintings to ceramics and photography, all mediums of art are celebrated and available at this diverse festival.

4. You’ll have fun with the whole family

No need to call the babysitter, Saturday afternoon is jam-packed with special children’s activities and fun for the whole family to enjoy. The Artwalk KidZone is open on Saturday from 11AM-3PM, where you can create your own “make and take” arts and crafts activity.

Plus, DJ Tony Rodio will there be setting the soundtrack for your Artwalk journey.

Note: Artwalk KidZone is available on Saturday ONLY.
