We know we have an amazing drink scene around town, but Birmingham isn’t ALL about the booze. You can actually find a great selection of mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks from your favorite bars and restaurants in the city. Keep reading for all the best places serving up mocktails in Birmingham.

Say goodbye to boring mocktails

If you’ve ever ordered a mocktail, you’ve probably suffered through a sad, watered down or over-juiced drink. For those who love a good cocktail, but may be taking a break from the booze, the world of non-alcoholic beverages has really upped its game. Mocktails no longer have to be plain and boring, and Birmingham’s bars are here to prove it.

The Lumbar, whose drinks we’ll get to soon, has a year-round mocktail menu that they created with people in mind who:

  • are struggling with sobriety
  • have religious obligations
  • are trying Whole 30
  • are designated drivers
  • are expecting little ones in < 9 months
  • might be just plain sick of drinking

There are so many reasons you may be on the hunt for a delicious non-alcoholic drink. Here’s where we love to get a tasty mocktail in town:

1. The Marble Ring

As if we need any other reason to make a visit to the coolest speakeasy in town, they have a whole section on their menu of mocktails and non-alcoholic sips. Want our rec? Try the wedding bells: strawberry mint shrub, ginger honey syrup, cream and crushed ice.

2. Queen’s Park

You know your drink will never lack creativity when you go to Queen’s Park. No one has to miss out on the fun here. Queen’s Park’s menu has an entire page dedicated to their alcohol-free drinks.

Our fave is the Livin’ the Dreamsicle: an orange creamsicle dream with Seedlip Grove, cream, orange, vanilla and soda.

3. Tasty Town

This is my favorite spot to grab lunch. It may sound fun, but a midday cocktail on a work day usually isn’t in the cards. Instead, their refreshing elderflower and grapefruit mocktail hits the spot every time. They even have a non-alcoholic gin and tonic!

4. Mayawell

The name says it all. I’ll take any excuse to enjoy a drink outside at Mayawell, but a pretty mocktail with a name like Chef’s Kiss? Count me in.

5. The Lumbar

The Lumbar has a variety of creative and tasty non-alcoholic cocktails to enjoy. My favorite is The Hopskotch with pineapple, cranberry and grapefruit.

6. Satterfield’s

You can still enjoy a fancy drink with your white tablecloth dinner at Satterfield’s. They have a few choices on the menu, but they can always come up with anything you’re craving.

7. Paper Doll

Paper Doll is known for creating the perfect drink when you tell them whatever you’re in the mood for, so there’s no better spot to go for a delicious non-alcoholic drink. Just tell them what kind of drink you’d like and they’ll whip up something amazing, always.

Soho Social can make any of their signature seasonal cocktails into a delicious mocktail, so no one has to miss out on their fun drinks. Make sure to stop by during happy hour, week days 4-6PM to get half off your appetizer with your drink.

9. Neon Moon

Enjoy a drink with you hit the karaoke stage at Neon Moon. They have so many non-alcoholic drink creations available, you won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything. The frozen Kentucky coffee is one of my favorite drinks ever.
