Today, we’re taking you to some of the newest eateries, salons and anticipated businesses that are hitting The Magic City so soon. Want a “pita” the info? Keep reading to learn more.

1. Salon 46 | Homewood

This salon has been anticipated in the Birmingham area for quite some time. Sisters Cindy and Tricia are the proud owners of Salon 46, named after their late father’s military helicopter, the CH-46.

Today, they are excited to inspire women to invest in their hair and help them look and feel their best. Opening August 6, this Homewood salon can’t wait to start booking appointments for cuts, color, styles and treatments.

2. Ampersand Cocktails and Cuisine | Downtown

Ampersand Cocktails and Cuisine is coming to Advenir at Station 21. This upscale dessert bar is located right by Rotary Trail, so it makes for an easy dinner spot. While the spot is still under construction, we have a few menu items that sound delish:

  • Cajun salmon bites
  • Cheesesteak egg rolls
  • Crab bites
  • Rosemary garlic lamb lollipops

It is set to open September of 2022 and will feature an ultra-chic look—perfect for photos.

3. Frothy Monkey | Downtown

The long awaited Frothy Monkey has officially (soft) opened for business. Known for their delightful coffee menu, Frothy Monkey proves they are much more than coffee. This new spot serves fresh breakfast/lunch menu items like sandwiches and salads, while also serving classic coffee shop treats like pastries and baked goods—straight from the Frothy Monkey bakery.

Frothy Monkey also goes day to night. They serve a variety of alcoholic beverages with the addition of Wine Down Wednesday ($17 per person for a flight of 3 wines + an individual cheese board). Be sure to check them out and let us know your thoughts!

4. Habitual Lash | Homewood

This new beauty bar, Habitual Lash, will provide you everything you need to pamper yourself for an event. With options including lashes, facials and waxing, this spot has it all.

We don’t know their opening date, but stay up-to-date on their Instagram for more!

5. Ladybird Taco | Mountain Brook

Lane Parke—this one’s for you. Nashville-based taco spot, Ladybird Taco, is slated to open by the end of the year. This fast casual restaurant aims to bring a little bit of Austin, Texas flair to the Southeast.

They serve house-made tortillas, queso, salsa and salads from fresh ingredients, alongside full barista service all day. You can catch these tasty creations as early as September 2022.

6. Tasty Town | Downtown

If you’ve ever wanted to combine your favorite Greek spot with a modern, open feel, Tasty Town is for you. Located right at The Lumen by Railroad Park, Tasty Town serves up delicious Greek food, cocktails/mocktails and a space for a whole lot of Instagrammable moments.

That aperol spritz Insta pic you’ve been wanting? Get it here with a side of cheese fries. Tasty Town is the newest in the Pihakis Group family of restaurants which includes Rodney Scott’s BBQ, Hero Doughnuts and Little Donkey.
