An inside look at the NEW Frothy Monkey + an opening update [PHOTOS]

When new openings come to town, you know we have to get the inside scoop. Keep reading for a special look at downtown’s new Frothy Monkey and an update on when you can get inside.

Your new go-to

The new café, taking over the old Urban Standard, has the perfect setup for anything you need. Whether you’re hosting a work meeting or a girl’s night, they have you covered. The seating options make it the perfect spot for any event:

• cocktail bar seating
• two dining rooms
• front window bar seating
• sidewalk dining
• covered back patio

Not your average coffee shop

With espresso machines out of Florence, Italy, Frothy Monkey knows what they’re doing when it comes to coffee. I tried the oat milk vanilla latte and let’s just say, I know where my coffee runs will take me now.

The coffee is only the beginning. We got a sneak peek of some of the features you can expect to see at Frothy Monkey:

• open all Saturdays and Sundays for brunch, 7AM-3PM
• happy hours on weekdays from 3PM-close
• bread baked in-house from their Nashville bakery
• half off select wine bottles on Fridays
• kids menu
• Wine Down Wednesdays

Wine Down Wednesday

Every Wednesday, starting at 4PM, Frothy Monkey will have Wine Down Wednesday:

• 4PM-close
• $17 per person
• a flight of 3 wines and an individual cheese board

All-day café

Frothy Monkey isn’t your run-of-the-mill coffee shop. This specialty roaster and wholesale bakery is also an all-day café serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

They will have offerings including craft beer, wine, cocktails and made from scratch meals from original recipes.

So, when can we go?

Frothy Monkey is starting off their Birmingham journey with a soft opening *very* soon. Their limited hours will be:

• Wednesday-Friday 7AM-9PM
• Saturday-Sunday 7AM-3PM
• Closed Monday-Tuesday

After that, they’ll have their grand opening and begin to open with full hours. We will have the updates as soon as their doors open.
